Red Velvet Machine is a stylized sci-fi character study built around contrast — soft beauty, mechanical precision, and a quiet cinematic presence.
I wanted the character to feel elegant and artificial at the same time, somewhere between a porcelain doll, an android, and a futuristic operative. The project explores both a cinematic rendered look and a high-contrast black-and-white comic interpretation of the same character, highlighting different aspects of her identity.
The character was developed with a combination of AI-assisted ideation and 3D tools. MidJourney was used during the early visual exploration, Tripo3D as part of the base character pipeline, and Blender for scene building, lighting, framing, and final presentation.
The comic-style images were added as an alternative visual treatment to emphasize shape, contrast, and a more graphic, illustrated mood.
Tools used: MidJourney, Tripo3D, Blender.
